Every green on this page sits in a recessed-panel shaker door, and the frame width around the panel changes the feel of the room considerably.

Fabuwood

Allure Galaxy, at 2 1/2 inches, is the classic proportion and the value pick within Allure. It carries all five painted greens plus Dark Aqua and Seaside Pine. Allure Fusion, at 3 inches with a molded inner profile, carries Forest, Hunter, Mint, Pistachio and Sage. Allure Nexus, at 3 1/4 inches, is the widest and most substantial frame in the green range, in the same five greens. Illume Tuscany and Ovela Tuscany carry Verde Salvia as a five-piece shaker door on a frameless box. The slimmest Fabuwood frames, Echo and Luna, carry the same greens on the slim shaker page.

Jarlin

Jarlin carries Sage Green on a full overlay shaker door, stocked fully assembled or ready to assemble, with the build chosen on each cabinet's own page.

KCD

KCD Shaker carries Moss, with clean lines that read equally well in a classic or a modern room, on KCD's Premier Series box.

A useful rule when you are matching shade to profile: with a deep green, a narrower frame keeps the visual weight down. On Forest or Hunter, the Galaxy door gives you the full depth of color while the room still feels open, and the slim shaker doors go further still.

The Build, Feature by Feature

• Fabuwood Allure (Galaxy, Fusion, Nexus): plywood box with a solid wood face frame, solid wood dovetail drawer boxes, and Blum soft-close hinges and full-extension runners. Painted doors use HDF rails and stiles, which move far less than solid wood as humidity changes, so the painted joints stay crisp.
• Fabuwood Illume Tuscany: frameless box in 3/4 inch engineered furniture board with Blum MERIVOBOX metal drawer boxes. Fabuwood Ovela Tuscany: the same five-piece door on an all-plywood box with 5/8 inch solid wood dovetail drawers.
• Jarlin: 1/2 inch plywood box with a hardwood face frame, 5/8 inch solid wood dovetail drawers, soft-close hinges and runners standard, stocked assembled or ready to assemble.
• KCD Shaker (Premier Series): 1/2 inch seven-ply plywood box, full overlay doors with solid wood stiles and rails, and 5/8 inch solid wood dovetail drawers.

Across all of them, full-extension runners bring the drawer clear of the cabinet, and soft-close takes the last inch quietly. Factory-applied finishes are sprayed and cured in a controlled environment, so every green door in the kitchen matches the next one exactly.

Picking a Finish

The range covers a genuinely wide spread, and the right one depends as much on your light as on your taste.

Mint Green is the lightest and coolest, with a faint blue cast. It keeps a small kitchen feeling open and is comfortable carrying a whole room, uppers included.

Pistachio Green is light but warmer and yellower, close to a soft olive. It is the one to choose in a room with warm lighting or warm-toned flooring, where it settles in immediately.

Sage Green is a muted gray-green that behaves like a neutral. It is our most-ordered green by a wide margin, it suits almost any room, and it is forgiving in kitchens with limited natural light. Jarlin's Sage Green and Tuscany's Verde Salvia, sage by name, sit in the same family.

Hunter Green is richer and more saturated, with real depth. It is at its best on an island, a tall run or in a bright room where the color has light to play against.

Forest Green is the deepest, reading close to black-green in low light. It makes the most dramatic kitchen in the range and is especially handsome on base cabinets with something lighter above.

Dark Aqua and Seaside Pine, on Galaxy, and Moss, from KCD Shaker, each ship with a door sample, and the names are a fair guide to where they sit. Greens separate clearly in person and barely at all in a photograph, so order samples of any two you are choosing between and view them together.

The dividing line sits roughly between Sage and Hunter. Sage, Pistachio and Mint can carry a whole kitchen in most rooms. Hunter and Forest look their best on the lower cabinets or the island with something lighter above, especially in rooms with one window.

Designing With This Collection

Green borrows undertone from whatever sits next to it more than any other cabinet color, so the surrounding materials do a lot of work.

Countertops. White and light gray quartz is safe across all five and keeps a sage or mint kitchen bright. Butcher block and warm wood suit the warmer greens, Pistachio and Sage, particularly well. Mint stays truest against cooler surfaces, so a crisp white or light gray counter is the better partner there. Marble-look surfaces with gray veining are lovely against Hunter and Forest, where the cabinet is dark enough to hold its own beside a busy stone.

Hardware. Brushed brass warms every green in the range and is the pairing that built this trend in the first place. Matte black sharpens the deeper greens and keeps them modern. Brushed nickel keeps a sage kitchen cool and quiet, which helps in a room that already has a lot going on. Scale it to the door: a cup pull suits a Nexus or Fusion rail, while a slim bar pull is the better fit on a slim shaker door.

Wood. Green sits next to wood more naturally than blue or gray does. A sage perimeter with a wood-tone island is one of the most requested combinations we ship, and our wood tone shaker range carries the same door profiles so the frame proportions stay consistent across both.

Walls. Greens shift more than most colors against wall paint. A sage that looks right on screen can lean gray or yellow depending on what is behind it, so hold your sample against the wall as well as against the counter.

• Within Fabuwood Allure, Galaxy sits a price column below Fusion and Nexus, so the same paint costs less on a Galaxy door. Every cabinet is priced individually on its collection page, so the quickest way to compare two lines is to price the same 30 inch base in each.
• Sage, Pistachio and Mint separate clearly in person and barely at all in a photograph. Ordering samples of any two you are choosing between and viewing them together is the quickest way to settle it.
• Order the fillers, finished end panels, moldings and toe kick alongside the cabinets, since they are what make an installed run look complete.
• Lead times differ by brand. Fabuwood and Jarlin orders typically arrive within 2 to 4 weeks, and many arrive sooner. Stocked CNC Luxor and CNC Concord finishes typically arrive within 2 to 4 weeks, and CNC PLUS colors within 4 to 7 weeks.
• Each brand carries its own warranty. Fabuwood cabinets currently carry the Limited Lifetime Warranty, and Jarlin, KCD, Eurocraft and CNC are each covered by their own terms.
