Each specification table lists the SKU, the weight in pounds, the size as width x height x depth, and a dot under every door style that offers that code.
Door Styles and Finishes Covered
Pages 3-10 show 16 door styles, each with its wall door and base door side by side. Every style comes in one finish, so the door name and the color go together. The two-letter code is the column heading you will look for in the spec tables.

The four raised panel doors (Charlton, Newport, Perla, Avalon) give the traditional look. The reversed raised panel doors read as a shaker profile, and the HDF group (Weston, Cream White, Sage Green, Sandy Mirage) is a flat panel shaker. Unfinished Birch Shaker ships ready for your own finish, and the book notes that unfinished BP3696 skin panels are required on its exposed sides.
Printed color can only approximate the real finish, and the back cover says so. The catalog lists a SAMPLE DOOR (12 x 15 x 3/4) in all 16 styles on page 73.
Construction and Specifications
Page 11 labels the construction features on a cutaway wall and base cabinet:
- Box: 1/2 inch thick cabinet grade plywood, with metal bracket reinforcements in base cabinets.
- Face frame: 3/4 x 1 1/2 inch hardwood with double doweled joints.
- Doors and drawers: full overlay, 3/4 inch thick panels, with door bumpers.
- Hinges: 6 way adjustable European style, fully concealed, soft closing.
- Drawer box: dovetail, 5/8 inch thick solid wood sides without finger joints.
- Glides: full extension, soft closing, under-mount and concealed.
- Shelves: adjustable 3/4 inch shelves on metal shelf rests, and an 18 inch deep base shelf.
- Interior: natural birch finish interior.
The finish page (13) lays out 13 steps, including hand applied stain or paint, a color inspection station, an oven cured sealer coat, a catalyzed clear top coat and a final inspection. Glazed product gets the glaze hand applied after seal sanding.
Standard sizes are on pages 16-17. Base cabinets are 34 1/2 inches high and 24 inches deep, with an inset toe kick 4 1/2 inches high and 3 inches deep. Wall cabinets come in 12, 15, 18, 24, 30, 36 and 42 inch heights, and tall cabinets in 84, 90 and 96. One note is worth reading twice: include at least a 1 inch filler between the hinged side of a full overlay door and any deeper cabinet, wall, appliance or countertop next to it.
The warranty on page 78 is a three year limited warranty for the original purchaser, and the drawer box, drawer glides and hinges are covered for as long as the original purchaser owns the home. How to Read the Cabinet Codes
Page 39 explains the system. Letters name the cabinet type and numbers give the size in inches, width first. Base cabinets list width only, because every base is 34 1/2 inches high and 24 inches deep, so B24 is a 24 inch base. A drawer base adds the drawer count: DB24-3 has three drawers.
Wall cabinets list width, then height. W2430 is 24 wide and 30 high. The standard 12 inch depth is left out, so a third number only appears when the depth changes: W361224 is 36 wide, 12 high and 24 deep. Tall cabinets work the same way against a standard 24 inch depth, so WP2490 is 24 wide and 90 high, and WP249018 is the same pantry at 18 inches deep.
Vanity sink bases (FA) and drawer bases (SVA) are 34 1/2 inches high and 21 inches deep. DL and DR versions mirror the door and drawer layout, so check the drawing beside each code.

Check the dots before you finalize a code, because not every size is made in every door. The full door bases (B15FD through B36FD) show only Dove White and Toffee Shaker, and the 42 inch vanities (FA4221DL, FA4221DR) show only Dove White and Sterling.
Modifications and Accessories
The Jarlin catalog has no modifications section. It covers finishing work through its specialty and accessory pages (55-69) and glass and decorative doors (70-73).
Moldings
Crown is matched to the door family. Raised panel doors use ACM8 (2 1/2 x 96) and CCM8 classic crown (3 1/4 x 96), and the shaker doors use CM8-C shaker cove crown and CM8-S shaker angled crown. Light rail is TLR8-1 for the raised panel group and TLR8-2 for the shakers. All 16 styles offer BM8 base board molding, TK8 toe kick (4 1/2 x 1/4 x 96), QRM8 quarter round, SM8 scribe and OCM8 outside corner molding.
Fillers, panels and extras
- Fillers: wall fillers WF330 through WF696, and base fillers BF3 and BF6.
- Panels: BP3696 and BP4896 skin panels (1/4 inch, two sides finished) and FP2496, FP3696 and FP4896 (3/4 inch, two sides and four edges finished).
- Appliance panels: RRP96 refrigerator panel and DWP dishwasher panel, each with a 3 inch return.
- Storage: WBS18-2 and WBS15-1 waste basket pull outs (35 quart cans), ROT roll out drawers with dovetail joints, POK pot and pan kits for B24 to B36, and the BLSTRAY lazy susan tray.
- Decorative: turn posts, corbels, onlays and valances (V30SH through V72SH).
Glass doors
Glass doors use textured glass and a WM code that matches the cabinet, so a W1212 takes a WM1212. Mullion glass doors are made for Charlton, Perla, Newport and Avalon, and open frame glass doors for the shaker styles. A 30 inch wide cabinet uses two WM15 doors.
How to Use the Spec Book When You Order
