Six door styles sit on top of it, running from a barely-there frame through the classic shaker proportion to a smooth slab. Choose the face of the kitchen and the plywood box, the dovetail drawers and the Blum hardware come along regardless.

About Fabuwood Allure Cabinets

Allure is our most-ordered line, and the reason is that it lets you decide the look without also having to decide the quality. A homeowner who wants a crisp modern kitchen and a homeowner who wants a settled traditional one both end up with the same framed all-plywood cabinet underneath, with the same soft-close hardware and the same warranty.

It is also the widest finish range of any Fabuwood line, spanning painted whites, grays, blues, greens, blacks and reds alongside stained wood tones. That breadth is what makes Allure the sensible starting point for most kitchens: whatever you have in mind, there is usually a version of it here on a door you like.

Cabinets ship assembled, with the doors hung and adjusted at the factory. That is a large part of why the boxes stay square and the door gaps stay even across a long run once they are on the wall.

How This Line Compares

Frame width is the single number that tells you most about how an Allure door will read in a room. A narrow frame gives a modern, panel-forward look. A wider frame gives the familiar proportion people picture when they say shaker kitchen.

• Echo, 5/16 inch frame. The slimmest shaker we sell. Contemporary, almost minimal, with the panel doing the work.
• Luna, 3/4 inch frame. Slim and current, but still clearly a shaker across a run of cabinets.
• Galaxy, 2 1/2 inch frame. The classic proportion, and the widest color range in the family.
• Fusion, 3 inch frame. Solid and grounded, with a reversed center panel that adds quiet depth.
• Nexus, 3 1/4 inch frame. The most traditional frame in the line. Substantial and calm.
• Luxe, no frame. A smooth slab door, the most modern option in the family and the one that shows off a wood-look finish across the whole face.

If you are torn between two neighbors on that list, the gap is smaller than it looks on a screen and larger than you expect on a wall. That is exactly what a door sample is for. Mixing two Allure doors in one kitchen works too, and it works best when the two are far apart rather than close: a Luxe slab island against a Nexus shaker perimeter reads as a deliberate design decision.

What Every Cabinet Includes

The specification is identical across all six styles, which is what makes the door the only real decision.

• A framed all-plywood box with a solid wood face frame, the format most American kitchens are built around. Plywood holds screws better than particle board and copes far better with the humidity swings a kitchen puts it through.
• Solid wood dovetail drawer boxes, interlocked at the corners so they stay square under weight rather than loosening over time.
• Tandem plus Blumotion full-extension runners, so the drawer pulls clear of the cabinet and you can reach the back of it, then closes quietly on its own.
• Blum concealed soft-close hinges, six-way adjustable, which simply means an installer can move a door up, down, in, out and side to side after hanging until the gaps match across the whole run.
• Factory-cured finishes, sprayed and hardened in controlled conditions rather than on site, which is what gives the doors their smooth, hard surface.

Cabinets purchased on or after January 26, 2023 are protected by Fabuwood's Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers the cabinet against defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use. Third-party hardware such as the Blum hinges carries its own separate warranty.

Choosing Your Finish

Color is not shared evenly across the six doors, and knowing that early saves a lot of backtracking.

Galaxy carries the broadest palette by a wide margin. If you have an unusual color in mind, whether that is Orchid Purple, Cabernet Red, Pitch Black or a stained Horizon, start there. Galaxy also covers the core neutrals: Cloud White, Frost, Dove, Linen, Cobblestone, Nickel and the Mocha and Truffle wood tones.

Fusion is where most of the grays sit, including Nickel and the warmer greige Stone, alongside Oyster and Macadamia Beige for a softer neutral room.

Luna and Echo lean toward the modern end, and both carry the pale and mid-tone wood stains that suit a slim frame. Desert Oak on Luna and Timber on Echo are worth a look if you want visible grain without a heavy frame around it.

Nexus and Luxe run tighter, more curated ranges. Luxe is where Canyon Oak appears, and on a frameless slab a wood-look finish runs uninterrupted across the whole door face, which is a very good reason to pair that finish with that door.

The practical order of operations is worth following. Settle on the color first if the color is non-negotiable, then choose from the doors that carry it. Settle on the door first if the proportion matters more, then pick from that door's palette. You can also browse by color rather than by door: white, gray, navy, green, black and wood tones each show every Allure finish in that family alongside the door it comes on.

Styling Your Kitchen

Because the frame width sets the tone, it makes sense to match the hardware to it. A wide Nexus or Fusion frame has room for a substantial pull or a classic cup pull and knob pairing, which suits a traditional room with a wood floor and a warmer countertop. A narrow Echo or Luna frame is better served by something slimmer: a long bar pull runs with the horizontal lines and keeps the kitchen modern.

Luxe, with no frame at all, is the door to consider if you want a handleless or minimal-hardware kitchen, since there is nothing on the face competing with the pull.

For surfaces, the painted whites and grays take almost any countertop, so a stone with real movement is where the interest can come from. The deeper colors, Indigo, Forest Green, Hunter Green and Graphite Black, are strong enough to sit under a veined marble-look surface without either one losing out. The stained wood tones pair naturally with quieter counters, since the grain is already providing the variation.

Two-tone layouts are common across the line and easy to price, because every cabinet is sold individually. A darker perimeter with a lighter island, or the reverse, lets you commit to a color without darkening the whole room.

Good to Know

Soft-close is fitted throughout the range on both doors and drawers. The three corner specialties are the ones to plan around: Lazy Susan, Easy Reach and Wall Pie Cut cabinets are supplied without the mechanism.

Stained finishes are applied to real wood, so tone varies gently from door to door. That is the nature of the material and part of why a stained kitchen looks warmer than a painted one. If you want complete uniformity across a large room, a painted finish will get you closer.

Not every finish appears on every door, and a small number of finishes are exclusive to one style. Check the door style page for the finish you want before you build the full list.

Order the fillers, panels, moldings and toe kick alongside the cabinets. They are the parts most often left off a first list, and they are what separate a finished install from a nearly-finished one.
